Once you’re registered with the Deft system we wil give you a unique Deft number that you can register online and from there it’s super easy. You can even set up payments from your credit card so you never miss a payment and retain your excellent payment history and you can also view your payment history. Options for paying rent also include Bank Cheque or Australia Post Money Order (No Personal or Business Chq’s) – its your choice as to which option you prefer.
Under the Residential Tenancies Act you are required to pay your rent by the date noted on the schedule in your lease and it must always be paid in advance. Should you have any difficulties in paying your rent please notify us as soon as possible. If you have requested maintenance you should not take matters into your own hands and stop paying rent as a way to get work done. If you do this you are breaching the agreement and you could be given a Notice to Leave.
